I wish you all a wonderful holiday season - may you be with the people you love most, sharing love and laughter aplenty. If you have a personal encounter with Santa I hope it's happier than mine was in 1953!And thanks everyone for the fun and fellowship you've brought my way this year, let's do it all again in 2011!
(I'm off to the cottage in New Zealand for a month just after Christmas, no internet access there but I hope to catch up with blogs from time to time. Unlikely to post, but you never know.... )
Postscript - my big brother tells me that I totally refused to sit on Santa's lap unless he did - which he was none too happy about - considering himself far too 'grown up' (ha ha!!)
My daughter always cried when we went to visit Santa, all that Ho, Ho, Hoing frightened her to death, lol.
ReplyDeleteMerry Chitmas, and that your wishes are fulfilled, this I want the sewing Manoli.

Dear Norma, I love the picture of your life, showing from time to time ...

Just this afternoon I wrote to you a greeting card that you will find, a little out of time, when you will came home from the cottage.

I can see why you may have been a little upset in the photo....I personally think that the Santa looks a little scarry....?

Oh my gosh, Norma, that photo of you with Santa is a hoot! You weren't too thrilled with him, that's for sure.

ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas to you and yours Norma! Looking forward to seeing what you are doing in 2011. Carol xoxoxxo
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute in that photo Norma, even if you are on the brink of tears. Santa doesn't look very jolly at all and what a lovely big brother to do that for you. Hope this Christmas is the best yet.
ReplyDeleteThe look on your face is precious, Norma!! What a good big brother!
ReplyDeleteI never ever sat on Santa's knee - I think I had tanties whenever it was suggested, I was appalled at the idea. Ah, life in the fifties - so prescribed :) (The 1950s that is, not life at my age, lol!!)
Happy Christmas to you and yours, and enjoy New Zild!
xxx Glenda
Norma,
ReplyDeleteI have shared your Christmas photo with all my friends. THEY ALL LOVE IT!
Linda is the only one that said she can understand why you look a bit nervous. That Santa is VERY scarey! He looks like they dragged him out of some rehab center.
That has to be the worst Santa Claus costume I have ever seen. I LOVE IT! LOL
You MUST use that photo for a Christmas card someday!!! I may have to print that and save it forever.
My brother has been saying that he should be charging for his appearances on my blog - I think your comments have just put the price up!
ReplyDeleteI was terrified of Santa. That's an adorable picture though! Have lots of fun at you cottage. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteCaroline

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas dear Norma for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a new year full of health and good times.
In Spain we do not celebrate too much Santa Claus (although globalization is so strong in kids) but tomorrow we have Christmas lunch with all the family and on Sunday because we celebrate too the 26th. I will wait for the 6th January when the 3 wise men will leave us some presents (The Spanish Tradition):)
Merry Christmas to you and your family dear friend Norma!
