I hope he's going to like it! He's a young man (not yet 3) with very strong opinions about what he does and doesn't like. I can't imagine where he gets that from, although there have been a few suggestions ;)
Come on in
and take a seat
The main idea is to make it strong and simple, appropriate for a child's play, but with enough character to satisfy me at least a little. I have some little wood and pipe cleaner people, and a few 'woodland' creatures to live in and around it. I hope it will stimulate some imaginative play.
There's still a lot of work to do yet though so I'd better get back to the "workshop"!
I love this idea, Norma. I have a feeling your grandson will just love playing with it. Now you have more time for minis!

Have really enjoyed seeing your beautiful country during the world cup. Plus well deserved victory!!
This is so cute. I wish I could scale myself down and sit awhile. Cheers, LJ
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Norma. My grandson will be 2 year on christmas Eve, so now I concentrate on making houses for my youngest niece and then for a little bonus granddaughter.

Clever you Norma. I'm new here via bits and bob's blog. I write rather than use my hands to create but I admire your work so much. I'd love to be able to create such a home for my grandsons.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea! It will look so precious!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you gave me a link to another shop that sells these. I always worry that the shop I use will stop carrying them. It's good to have multiple sources.
I can't wait to see how you finish the tree house.
hugs,
Caroline
Great to have some time for miniatures and other things! What a lovely project you are making for your grandson. Maybe he can 'help' with the building of it so he gets what he wants, like when you're building your real house ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's perfect for a small person!
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm organizing an international swap Christmas ..
ReplyDeleteyou want to participate? Come read my blog, thanks!
kisses from Italy!

How could he not 'love' his own private little treehouse with wee creatures to push around and scurry about. What a wonderfully clever grandma you are to make something so charming for a grandson. He'll be sure to need a couple of extra toads, and a hedgehog ... a shovel & pail would be handy as well, to help dig up the surrounding forest whilst looking for interesting bugs, frogchairs (my girl's adaptation of toadstools) and such!
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea my friend!
Ooooh LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to build a tree house.
oh my goodness! this is incredible!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so great, Norma. I love the windows and door, you made them fit perfectly. Can't wait to see more.
ReplyDelete¡Feliz cumpleaños Norma!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo enorme y lleno de cariño♥
