Delicious additions to the French kitchen

Gorgeous mini jams and preserves by Nina Eary have been added to the French kitchen, they look good enough to eat don't they? I love the colour they bring to the shelves and the French labels are adorable.

Nina makes a wide range of high quality miniatures, I recommend you take a look at her website and her Facebook page to see some of her work. Unfortunately she's not making to order at the moment but don't let that stop you enquiring about what she may have available.

I have more of her preserves to show you at some other time including Apple Butter, Honey, and more jams but I want to show you them 'in situ' and that special project is as yet unstarted - something new for the new year...

And of course this is an appropriate time to wish every one of you a fabulous 2014, may it bring everything you wish for and more.

  1. Exquisite preserves! Nina is so talented. I do follow her on Facebook! Refresh my memory, will you, Norma! Did you build that house or is it a kit. I just can't remember! I love those windows! I think that's why I'm not getting anywhere with that house of mine. I hate it but on the other hand, I can't abandon it either. I feel I owe it to the house to finish it. Silly, I know, but I feel sorry for it every time I look at it! It's calling to me and I must answer the calll! Soon, soon! Hahhahah!

  2. The house is a scratch buil Lucille, it's kind of 'organic' in that I did very little planning ahead of time, it just kind of develops of it's own accord - a building style I wouldn't recommend except to the most foolhardy ;)

It must be a real problem trying to motivate yourself to work on a house you don't much like. Is there something you could do it to change that? Would it take much to alter some of the basics to bring it more into line with your 'dream' house?

  15. Hi Norma,
So nice to get a peek view of your kitchen. It is wonderful. I note that you have made the windows open in - a more typical style in French houses I understand. Nice details.
    All the best for 2014.
Coming down to Au at the end of January.
    Regards Janine

  23. Dear Norma, these additions are so sweet :-)
I love preserves, both in full scale and in miniature: I find that bring joy in the kitchen (and the table).
I am accumulating a huge amount of food for my dollhouse, I do not know where to keep it, but I can not resist to buy it :-)
Waiting for new pictures of the French house, I wish you a FRUITFUL 2014 :-)

  26. Love it, Norma! :) I also love that your house is growing 'organically', I know that can be frustrating but sometimes things like that have a way of becoming something spectacular.
