I'm plagued with indecision today :( I want to get the French apartment bedroom walls done but I'm wavering between the wallpaper as mocked up in the top pic and bare walls painted in a cream similar to the dining room (bottom right) ... and then there's yet another option of the wallpaper on the back wall and cream painted side walls...
Feel free to share your opinion!
In the meantime maybe I should just go and play with the exterior.

I absolutely love the look of the two wallpapers. If the wall behind the bed is plain the space looks blank to me unless you're planning on something dramatic for bedding as a focal point.
The flower wallpaper behind the bed. Just bring some of the other colors into the room(pillows, rug, chair cover, etc).
Well, I'm going to go for the bare walls. I love that look because I think it suits the style of this build. xoxo
Hi there!
I say bare if you are going to add color other places because the two very light colors of the bed and the wall are a wash out to me.
Glad to see you back to work on this French apartment Norma, and it appears that you are going "full steam ahead" again; WhoooHoooo! :D
I like the first one good luck, I cant wait to see what you choose :)
Hi Norma. You could compromise by using the wallpapers on the top parts of the wall and have a plain panelling along the bottom edge.
Hi Norma!
I still think you should treat it as a "Tapestry" on the one wall. The other walls can be blank and "aged" a pale shade of gray or blue... (very Gustavian). The look I find most common with wall papers in France is all the same pattern on all the walls. They don't usually do the only one wall with paper look unless it is an actual Tapestry hanging there! I love the soft colors the pattern has... and am a lover of color... so I shy away from the white walls look! I look forward to seeing this develop!
I like the paper behind the bed. It's got such lovely muted colours and these could be picked up in one or two areas.
Hi Norma
Have you thought about using the flower print in panels, edged with molding or is that not a bedroom thing?
Just a thought.
Talk soon, Linda
