Hi there Nat, welcome to Make Mini Mini :) That's my mother in the header photo, here is info posted about it earlier:
"This photo of my late mother was taken about 1918 outside the cottage where she, and her children, grew up. It is my mother I have to thank for her nurturing of my creative spirit in the many hours we spent together making scrapbooks, drawing, knitting, embroidering and just chatting about 'girl stuff'. Thanks mum."

It's just that I have similar photos of myself (only with no toys as my parents couldn't afford them but we created our own fun, which I think brings out the creativity in us).
I love the black/white photos, mine aren't as clear though!
