Remember this?
A few weeks ago I posted this pic and 'spat the dummy' about how I was so jealous that Brenda at Cozy Litte House had been able to buy such gorgeous minis, especially the birdcage, at her local garden centre. Click here to go directly to that post.
Marit at Black Cat Cottage saw that post and has made this wonderful version of the little cage - complete with a bird!
Click here to go to Marit's blog for more info on how she made both the cage and the bird - and be sure to have a look around - don't miss the tiny wood turnings she's been doing recently.
And don't forget to check out Brenda's blog too which features her lovely home and gorgeous garden.

Everybody loves Norma :). You have been the recipient of many wonderful gifts and this is no exeption. I love birdcages too.
Yesterday I read and commented on the post Marit without understanding that the cage was for you! Renew my admiration for this object so simple yet so elegant. The bird is a masterpiece :-)
Oh dear my lovelies - Marit DID NOT MAKE THIS LITTLE CAGE FOR ME, the photo is from her blog. I'm not sure how this misunderstanding has come about.
I simply wanted to share it's beauty, and Marit's talents, with you all :)
Norma the birdcage is so lovely and even with the bird!!!!
Thanks for the links!
Warm regards,
Meli
This birdcage has real opening door! I love it!
Poor Norma, now you don't have a decent birdcage :( LOL, I really just read the post and thought that it was for you - but you could always hint Marit that everyone was so happy for you to have that kind of gift so she could consider sending it to you :D
They are both so wonderful. I saw Marit's post and tried to make a birdcage yesterday- complete garbage! Guess I need some practice :) Marit is a talented mini artist!
Wow! I will have to go over and see how she did it! Very pretty.

I really thought that I had posted here, but, I guess I went off to the links and never found my way back. :(
Just wanted to thank you for the links. :)
Norma, I´ve got an award for you to pic up in my blog!
Lena!
It's only because I was reading the comments that I realised that I also had fallen for it! I also thought you had been given this birdcage. Serves us right. We should 'read' what people say and not jump to conclusions......... I have started on a birdcage some ten years ago, but when I soldered the wires the whole ring became hot and the solder on the wires I had done melted again. It's still in an old shoebox somewhere. Perhaps one day.......... Anyway, thanks for the links.
