I'm participating in the holiday themed swap organised by Caterina @ 'Le Minis de Cockerina' - this is my postcard for my virtual holiday destination, Sanur Beach on the beautiful island of Bali. Oh how I wish I could visit my friends there for real but it's just not possible this year - however the upside is that I have lots of time to make minis during my midyear break :)
I'm waiting for my swap partner, Roberta (Il Boratorio di Pitosfora) to email me with her address so that I can send her the minis for our Bali holiday - they are all ready and waiting to go in the mail Roberta!

Do you have room in your suitcase to fit me in too? Your 'virtual' holiday destination looks so beautiful - sun, sand and sea. Pure heaven. Love Carol xoxox
ah, I thought I understood the directions, but missed this part, so very glad you posted! Holy smokes you work fast- I'm not quite finished- hope to finish up this weekend :) Thanks for the heads up on the postcard Norma :)
Your virtual vacation is much better than my real vacation: I think I'll go with you :-)
Hugs, flora
Gorgeous postcard, Norma! Have you been to Bali before? I can only imagine how beautiful it must be. Can't wait to see your creations.

HERE i AM!!!!!
Sorry for the late but I was busy.
Tonight I sent you a mail and here I can only say that I'm very curios to see your swap.
Thanks for all
Roberta
Oh, the blue of that sky is just phenomenally beautiful!
Brenda
I's a dream... lovely place. Virtual or not it will be a pleasure to see your miniatures :O)
Well Norma...I'm afraid your vacation with me won't be as glamorous but our Canadian skies are just as blue; the sand won't be white but I'm sure the heat will be greater if the weatherman is correct.
We don't measure the temperature only; we go by humidex ...all the more reason to jump in the water.
hugs Karin
Thanks everyone for stopping by!
Caterina - thanks so much for organising this swap - and all the effort you are putting into making sure it runs smoothly :)
Meli - it was a dream come true for me too the first time I went, and then I just couldn't stop going back, and back, and back .... it's a very interesting place as well as being beautiful.
Carol and Flora - the more the merrier I say!
Kim - when I'm on a roll, I'm on a roll LOL
Claudia - the first time I went to Bali was in July 1990, the second time was in Dec 1990 - we just fell in love with the place and the people. I've been many times since. Sanur beach is just as gorgeous as the picture. The terraced hillsides (for wet rice cultivation) are a sight to behold also. The culture is rich and vibrant. However, on the flip side there is an underbelly of poverty that is distressing. If you just stick to the tourist areas it's not so evident but when you become more familiar with the place and the people you begin to understand that behind the smiles there is often quiet desperation. (Bali is often called the Isle of Smiles). There are a large number of return visitors though who are involved in various programs related to education and health in particular. A dollar goes a long way there so a lot can be achieved with what to us is a little.
PAKY - yes it's a great swap theme, lots of fun!
Brenda - the sky (and everything else) is exactly as you see it here. Not surprising that you noticed the blue sky since I see that you are on a bit of 'blue kick' at the moment ;)
Mari - thank you, the 'big reveal' of all the work being done all around the world for this swap will be amazing I think - I can't wait to see what everyone has done.
Karin - I'd love to have a holiday in your neck of the woods! I'm sure it would be so relaxing, and wonderful fresh air. Although I do love living in the big city there's nothing like a bit of fresh air in the countryside :)
Roberta - so happy to have made contact with you - I've added a last minute little piece to the collection of things you'll need for our beach holiday so it's ready to go in the mail today :)
